The appointee will be teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students; provide service to the discipline in line with the evolving needs and aspirations of the Faculty and University; and Wireless Communication and Network Engineering conduct world-leading research in the area. Appointments will be commensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a record of demonstrated teaching, service, and research excellence. Applicants seeking appointment to Full Professor must state this expectation on their application and will be assessed according to University criteria for this rank prior to appointment.We wish to appoint a specialist in wireless communication and network engineering. Preference may be given to candidates with active interests on one or more of the following areas of focus: Open RAN, Network Security, 6G technologies, mmWave and terahertz communications, cloud/edge computing and networks, machine learning for networks, XR/VR, smart and connected devices, digital health, optical networks, digital transformation, and other domains within wireless communications and network engineering.Core duties will include developing and providing innovative and inclusive teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mentoring students and staff, professional service to the University and the wider Northeastern University network commensurate to career stage, and world-leading, high-impact disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape and manage Northeastern University London’s degrees in related fields and contribute to the University’s curricula on the subject.Candidates will be considered across all areas of wireless and network engineering. We are especially seeking exceptional leaders, whose teaching, service, and research contributes to the advancement of wireless and network engineering as a field.   • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, by the time the position starts.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high-impact research and a strong commitment to teaching.
  • Experience in or willingness to participate in multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Ability to lead a self-sustaining research program through external sponsored funding (required for senior level hires).
