Reports to: Financial Controller

Role Overview:
As an Assistant
Accountant, you will be part of a dynamic finance team. The role encompasses reporting, financial analysis and day-to-day accounting support. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

What our new ‘Assistant Accountant’ will be doing:

-Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group entities
-Generate journals for accrual & prepayment and other manual transactions
-Complete monthly reconciliations
-Review accounts for accuracy
-Assist with preparation of annual statutory accounts and liaise with auditors

The experience our new ‘Assistant Accountant’ will have includes:

-Part of fully qualified with a recognised professional body (such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
-Experience working within a manufacturing environment with rigid month-end procedures and timelines
-Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting
-Proficiency in ERP systems and good Excel skills
