The Asset & Wealth Management Strategic Transformation Office is a recently established entity tasked with overseeing comprehensive large-scale transformations. Our primary objectives are to enhance scalability, drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and elevate controls to optimize our operating platform. This group comprises of four critical functions, including (1) Product Management & Design, (2) Change Management, (3) Regulatory Management, and (4) Monitoring & Testing. The Monitoring and Testing function evaluates the effectiveness of key controls which enables the business to better self-identify control issues associated with AWM’s highest-risk processes and data.

The Monitoring & Testing function is seeking an experienced Analyst or Associate in London to join the Design and Strategy team, which is responsible for designing and implementing how the Monitoring & Testing function will operate. This rarely available opportunity will allow you to gain insight and develop expertise in creating and operating a new business function, including organizational design, policies and procedures, capacity management, tooling and automation, governance and oversight, performance monitoring, business planning and divisional risk and compliance adherence. The team works closely with the leadership of Monitoring and Testing, Risk, and control owners across all AWM businesses, with frequent interaction and collaboration across many of the firm’s other divisions and lines of defense.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the operational risk and control profile across Asset & Wealth Management
  • Design a risk-based approach to identifying and prioritizing the scope that the function will work on
  • Build a capacity model to calculate resourcing requirements
  • Prepare the framework for professional development within the team including training syllabus, competency framework, goal setting and performance evaluation
  • Develop content and presentations for senior leadership at oversight and governance meetings
  • Produce, analyze and communicate metrics that measure the performance of the team
  • Support the design and gathering of requirements for workflow tooling and automation
  • Execute on various management responsibilities related to business planning, organizational design, divisional compliance,

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proactive, enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas with different levels across Asset & Wealth Management stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and multifaceted ideas visually and in clear, concise written language 
  • Team focused; able to flex style to influence and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, including senior management
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with competency in Business Intelligence toolkit advantageous
