Do you want to gain hands-on experience working with vulnerable young people, some of whom may have experienced trauma, exploitation, or neglect?This Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role in a specialist SEN school in Slough offers a unique opportunity to develop key skills in safeguarding, behavioural intervention, and trauma-informed support – all crucial for a future career in anti-human trafficking, law enforcement, or social work.The Role
- Location: Slough
- Salary:£101 to £110 per day
- Start Date: May, June and July 2025 starts – all with a view to the right role, ready for September 2025
- Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:35 pm, term time only
- Duration: Long-term temporary with the opportunity to go permanent

Many of these students require structured environments, safeguarding measures, and targeted interventions – similar to the skills required in anti-human trafficking work.By working in this setting, you will:
- Develop safeguarding expertise, identifying risks, reporting concerns, and implementing protection strategies
- Gain experience with trauma-informed practices, supporting young people who have experienced adversity

- Learn behaviour management techniques, essential for supporting vulnerable individuals in high-risk situations

What Does an Anti-Human Trafficking Officer Do?Anti-Human Trafficking Officers work in law enforcement, NGOs, and government agencies to identify, protect, and support victims of human trafficking. They investigate cases, provide victim support, work alongside law enforcement, and raise awareness of exploitation risks. This role requires strong communication, safeguarding knowledge, and an understanding of psychological trauma – all of which you will develop in this LSA role.Who We Are Looking For
- Graduates in Criminology, Psychology, Law, International Relations, or related fields
- Individuals passionate about human rights, social justice, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals
- Those with an understanding of trauma, exploitation, and behavioural challenges
- Strong communicators who can build trust and provide emotional support
- Commitment to at least one academic year, ensuring stability and trust for pupils
