This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to contribute to a school environment that values creativity, academic excellence, and student well-being.About the Role:As a Teacher of Art, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role requires a creative individual who can inspire and engage students in their artistic development, fostering a love for the subject while maintaining high academic standards.Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Art lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development.
- Support the department in maintaining a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities, including art exhibitions or clubs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the delivery of the subject.
- Maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and growth.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and developments in the subject area.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- A passion for the subject with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to stay current with educational trends.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A DBS check will be required before appointment.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching A-Level Art or a specialism in a particular area of Art (e.g., photography, graphic design).
- Previous experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust or a large educational setting.
