Our Panels and Profiles business is downstream business within Tata Steel Building Systems UK. The business sells “Envelope” and “Structural” products predominantly into the construction industry. The product range is the most diverse in the market place, with an offering including structural roof and flooring decks, built up systems, composite panels (foam), flashings and associated products.

The Role:

As an Area Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving excellent customer service and sales into our construction and manufactured goods sector.

You’ll be a key part of Building Systems and the Commercial Sales team working with a growing team. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, from small businesses to Company Directors and no two days will be the same.

You will have the opportunity to take commercial ownership as you develop and manage accounts and ensure a structured approach to manage and grow customers, including working with capital and stock management.

You will negotiate and agree sales contracts and develop plans for profitable growth.

We are looking for a true people person who can work with existing customers and develop future business through providing a detailed commercial awareness of the customers needs alongside an awareness of current market conditions.

You will have:

A strong customer and quality focus

Demonstrable business acumen with a drive to succeed.

Knowledge of Commercial Policies and an understanding of relatable legal practices

Experience of IT systems including STRATIX, CRM and ASSIST.

Knowledge of Credit Policies and Cash Collection
