LOCATION: Home based, you will ideally be living in the South East of the UK with a brief to cover the SE

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Joinery / Fenestration / Construction

As our Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager you’ll have a proven track record of closing industrial type sales and developing long-term client accounts across the South East. You may have owned your own joinery business or sold within the timber/PVC/Aluminium door/window sector. Above all you’ll bring the drive and self-motivation needed to build your (and our) reputation throughout your territory.

In additional you will:
A· Be an expert at planning your time to maximise your time in front of your customers
A· Ideally bring previous experience of selling to the construction, fenestration, and /or joinery sectors
A· Be competent with IT systems and CRM packages (we use NetSuite and full training will be given)
A· Be used to working as part of a team, supporting others and building positive internal relationships

JOB DESCRIPTION: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Joinery / Fenestration / Construction

As our Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager you’ll be home based covering the whole of the South East. Order values are varied and are likely to range from A£1,000 to the A£10,000’s. You will have access to approx. 1000 active accounts, and you’ll enjoy the support of our back-office team who will cover you with producing quotes, marketing support and more.

Your main responsibilities will be:
A· 60% account management and up-sell, 40% new business development.
A· Presenting and demonstrating products.
A· Regular face to face customer meetings.
A· Closing opportunities and building long-term repeat business.
