Area Sales Manager – Reputable Food Wholesale Business – South Hams – A£40-45K + Benefits

My client is a well-established food wholesale business who have a fantastic reputation for delivering a variety of categories across the UK.

They are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their team. The successful Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing new business opportunities across the Bristol and Bath regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foodservice wholesale, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for sales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and talented Sales Manager to join a reputable business who can match their ambition and offer genuine progression opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
* Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
* Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
* Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve client issues effectively.
* Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management.

The Ideal Area Sales Manager Candidate:

* Proven sales experience within the food & beverage industry.
* Fresh produce category experience is a bonus, but good general food category knowledge is key.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* A valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned area.
