Architectural Technologist

Location: East Sussex

Salary: GBP28-34,000

An established and design-focused architectural practice in East Sussex is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join its growing team. The practice delivers carefully considered architecture across a broad range of sectors, including residential, education, healthcare and heritage. Known for its collaborative approach and attention to detail, the studio works closely with clients and consultants to deliver high quality, technically resolved projects from planning through to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and develop detailed technical drawing packages and construction documents
* Assist in the production of specifications and schedules
* Support projects across RIBA stages, with a focus on Stages 4 and 5
* Coordinate and integrate information from consultants into technical designs
* Liaise with contractors and assist during the construction phase
* Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, standards and technical best practices
* Contribute to the development of design concepts into buildable solutions

Requirements

* Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent) in Architectural Technology
* Proven experience in a technical role within a UK-based practice
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and/or other BIM software
* Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction detailing
* Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* CIAT affiliation or working towards chartership is desirable
