Architectural Technician
Location: St Albans
Salary: GBP32,000 to GBP40,000

A highly regarded, design led architectural practice based in St Albans is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its growing team. Known for its collaborative ethos, strong client partnerships and dedication to delivering well considered design, the studio combines creative thinking with robust technical knowledge. Working across all RIBA stages, the practice focuses on high quality residential and mixed use developments and offers a positive environment for technicians looking to broaden their responsibility and influence.

Role
* Oversee the technical progression of residential and mixed use schemes from planning approval through to completion
* Produce detailed drawing packages and thorough construction documentation
* Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors to maintain accuracy and ensure compliance with regulations
* Contribute to project delivery across all RIBA work stages
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to address detailing issues and construction challenges

Requirements
* Degree or qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar field
* Demonstrable UK practice experience in a technical capacity
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and current construction methods
* Confident user of AutoCAD, with knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign advantageous
* Proven experience working on large residential projects
* Strong communication, coordination and time management skills
* Self motivated with a practical, problem solving approach
