Architectural Technician

Location: Salisbury

Salary: GBP32-38,000 DOE

An established, design-focused architectural practice in Salisbury is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Technician to join its friendly and supportive studio. The practice delivers high-quality bespoke residential and commercial projects and values technical excellence, collaboration, and thoughtful design throughout all stages of a project.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

* Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages
* Develop planning, building control, and tender information
* Prepare and manage technical details, schedules, and specifications
* Assist with coordination of consultants, including structural and MEP engineers
* Support the delivery of projects through construction, including site visits
* Respond to technical queries from contractors and consultants
* Ensure drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and standards
* Contribute to internal design and technical reviews
* Research construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

* A recognised qualification in Architectural Technology
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential
* A solid understanding of UK construction methods, detailing, and regulations
* Experience preparing technical drawing packages for planning and construction
* Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
* A collaborative, proactive approach and good communication skills
* Previous experience within UK architectural practice is essential
