Application Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Development Speciliast to join our team, specializing in cloud native application development.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and optimize Application Development solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in all its forms (public, private, sovereign cloud).

• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to design scalable and efficient architectures for both legacy and Cloud Native applications.

• Provide deep technical expertise and support for Software Development LifeCycle.

• Accelerate customer opportunities with new and existing customers through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC), solution assistance.

• Research and evaluate upcoming cloud to drive continuous improvement.

• Create articulate and compelling written assets proficiently, encompassing both external publications and internal documentation.

• Interact with all roles at customer – including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff and Business representative.

• Design solutions that address non-functional requirements.

• Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Lead any aspect of the technical sales process. Advise internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

• Guide customers through their cloud journey, starting with Oracle’s on-prem solutions.

Scope

• Educating customers and partners in Oracle Product offering and Cloud strategy in the designated product areas

• Conducting repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning application developmentworkshops

• Providing assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architecture

• Demonstrating the value of Oracle’s Cloud Technology Solutions, with a focus on modern application technologies:

• PaaS (Kubernetes, serverless, etc)

• DevOps processes

• Oracle Middleware (WebLogic Server, Tuxedo, WebCenter Content)

• Low Code (Visual Builder Cloud Service, AppBuilder for Oracle Blockchain Platform)

• Strong hands-on development experience is preferred

• To be able to deliver a first level presentation in all topics mentioned above.

• To be able to deliver POCs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen2

• Working closely with other Oracle Pre-Sales Consultants and other Line Of Business

• Some knowledge ofOracle Database

• Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products, especially in the open source space

Responsibilities

Skills and Profile

We are looking for a professional with solid experience as Application Development Specialist, able to understand the customer issues in their journey to Cloud. Knowledge and background in Cloud Architecture (IaaS & PaaS) would be our target. The ideal candidate must have a strong Developer mindset, and also must have a broad understanding of on-prem solutions (e.g. Kubernetes, Hyperledger Fabric, WebLogic Server, etc…)

Others key requirements are:

• Wide background including architecture, implementation and delivery of large‐scale hardware and software systems in real-world situations

• A strong understanding and practical experience in planning and delivering cloud migration projects from traditional on-premise deployment models

• Detailed knowledge of architectural approaches including consolidation, cloud computing, virtualization, disaster recovery, information management, big data, Java applications, Oracle and non-Oracle applications

• designing and building cloud native solutions and building applications within a CI/ CD pipeline

• Designing large-scale micro-service based applications for deployment to container based infrastructures

• Wide knowledge of IT market and trends

• Knowledge of full Oracle stack including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen2

• Knowledge of cloud competitors including AWS,GCP and/or Azure and their container services (AKS, EKS, GKE, Lambda, Functions)

• Cloud Architecture Development/Cloud certification (Oracle, AWS, Azure, Google, etc…)

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

• Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

• Significant C-level presentation expertise

• BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

• Ability to travel as needed.
