The Relationship Manager “RM” is an ambassador of ING, responsible to create, develop and maintain profitable multi-products relationships with clients and prospects. The Assistant RM is the key internal support of the commercial developments in context of ING Bank France growth plan and target market expansion. He teams with Senior RM(s) to enhance the risk reward profiles of clients in scope of our target market.Your mission includes:
- Sector and clients researches to establish a view on clients risk profile and commercial needs
- Building marketing material for clients presentations and ensuring dialogue content in line with ING key differentiators
- Building Leverage on the 3 ING differentiators to approach and market new clients, in close coordination with CSC RM(s): (i) Sector expertise by selling full ING’s product range, (ii) distribute the International Network and (iii) promote Sustainability-linked transactions,
- Close coordination with various stakeholders, including early teaming with Lending, Risk, Front Office Support/ Compliance and other lead ING products (transaction services, DCM and FM amongst others),
- Preparation of commercial committees and front-end ownership of commercial opportunities
- Ensure financial and non-financial risks (incl KYCs) management on your own clients’ portfolio in scope.
- Reporting of CSC team activities and KPIs jointly with Head of CSC
Core tasks & material responsibilities are articulated around:
- Origination & business support:
- The RM is product-agnostic: promotes ING Corporate Banking capabilities and visibility in France. You will support the origination of business for Lending Services, Financial Markets, Transaction Services for the overall business, including profitability
- Fully involved from pitching to deal execution and implementation, you are able to coordinate and embark various teams present in different countries towards shared objectives.
- You will work on the commercial approval process and align with various internal stakeholders.
- You provide relevant and early input on Credit Applications, Modifications and Reviews to ensure smooth deal execution.
- You will follow-up on deal execution to ensure timeline is respected
- As principal risk taker, the RM is responsible for managing compliance risk and complying with the spirit, as well as the letter, of applicable laws and regulations, ING Bank policies and standards.
- The Relationship Manager should behave strictly in adherence with ING Orange Code.
