Role description:
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts. The role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reliability of the supply chain, ultimately ensuring that the final products meet customer and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and inspection plans for incoming materials;
- Develop new solutions in a team setting;
- Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects;
- Implement best practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance;
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done;
- Provides technical/commercial assistance to Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge;
- Monitor and actively participate in supplier performance reviews;
- Manages and monitors the process of introducing new supply components (SPPAP);
- Advises Functional Managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field;
- Problem solving on details of external supplies;
- Drive the suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA);
- Issuance and management of SNC (Supplier Non Conformance);
- Scraps and Rework data management in software system (SAP);
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality management;
- Audit at Suppliers (Quality Audit & Assessment);
- Management and issuing charges to suppliers;
- Zero Defects Program;
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
- Minimum of 3 year experience in Supplier Quality Engineering;
- Excellent English knowledge;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams;
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously;
- Ability to analyse data, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions to quality issues.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Competence in using PC software and tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and ISO standards.
