The ideal candidate possesses essential knowledge of investment industry and financial instruments and is eager to join the team to support derivatives and collateral management related processes.
You will be responsible for performing analytical-oriented tasks to support Franklin Templeton Funds in mitigating counterparty risk on the derivatives market. This role requires involvement in daily assignments, projects, and initiatives. Tasks associated with the role may involve – but are not limited to – validating collateral requirements, reconciling discrepancies, instructing wires and communicating with internal and external counterparties.What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Analyst – Collateral Management (Derivatives Operations)?Collateral management: ensuring the margin requirements are met within specific deadlines, working with Front and Middle Office teams on collateral selection and optimization.Monitoring exposures resulting from open derivative trades collateralized under various agreement types.Communicating with sub-advisors, custody banks, brokers, FCMs, responding to ad-hoc inquiries and solving production issues.Working with different FT departments: Middle Office, Reconciliation, Settlements, Derivative Agreements, Pricing, Risk, Static Data.Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and reporting.Deployment of improvements into existing workflows that provide additional efficiencies, time savings and risk mitigation.Participating in global projects.What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?Fluent command of written and spoken English,Essential knowledge of investment industry and financial instruments,Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular),Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude,Strong attention to detail and time management skills,Some experience and interest in automation tools (e.g. Power Platform, macros in VBA) and is motivated to develop them.Shift: 12:30 – 21:00 (and morning shift)Experience our welcoming culture and reach your professional and personal potential!Building teams with diverse skills, backgrounds, and experiences has always been important to us.
