We drive the quality of Siri by partnering closely to several engineering teams in AI/ML, and we create frameworks that support evaluation and qualification for Apple Intelligence. The Siri Global Evaluation Engineering team in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a Senior ML Engineer with strong ML and SW fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for the quality of ML models powering Siri and Apple Intelligence, across all platforms and languages, with a focus on international quality. We are looking for an organized, critical thinker who will play a key role in coordinating the Siri product evaluation efforts across multiple teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position. This role requires the ability to build and maintain phenomenal working relationships across many disciplines, including Engineering, PMs, and multiple QE organizations.Description DescriptionThe position requires a motivated, technically qualified Senior ML Engineer with the ability to coordinate work between multiple teams across different time zones and geographical locations. You have a strong understanding of ML evaluation strategies, software lifecycle, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will help drive innovation and set a high-quality bar for Apple Intelligence, working closely with development teams to define evaluation strategies and efficiently execute them.

• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, designing, developing and executing quality evaluation plans
• Experience crafting evaluation datasets and strategies for ML based products
• Ability to make progress on multiple tasks at the same time while ensuring tasks are complete in high quality within deadlines
• Strong organisational skills and problem solving skills on large cross functional team

• Experience validating the performance and scalability of machine learning models in a production setting for large-scale distributed systems
• Good understanding of software development and QE life cycle
• Ability to lead and influence evaluation initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field. PhD in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
