• Implement novel Bayesian experimental design
• Develop novel algorithms
• Identify promising research ideas for challenges in biological sequence design, such as active learning, Bayesian optimization, LLMs, reinforcement learning, representation learning, etc.
• Keep up to date with advancements in the field to shape the research agenda
• Contribute to research and publish results

Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computational Biology, or a related discipline
• Experience in deep learning, Bayesian optimization, Bayesian experimental design, LLMs, reinforcement learning
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or JAX
• Experience with biological topics such as drug discovery, protein engineering, large biological databases
