We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.As Advanced Program Manager you will be responsible of group of programs led to naval automation and castings for external equipment.
You will have a comprehensive knowledge of financial/business concepts, contract management, best practices, processes and procedures.
In this role you will work horizontally with company functions to meet and exceed customer expectations as well as business profitability through operational excellence based on lean and risk management.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the execution of group of programs, meeting the milestones in terms of timing, financials and quality, using all applicable project methodologies and standard worksManage Contract(s) maximizing benefits and opportunitiesMeet Company economics/financial and contractual targets within the allocated budget, including margin expansion initiativesLead the cross functional Program Team (ENG, GSC, QUA, etc.)Set and develop a long-lasting Customers relationship, improving satisfaction on current programs and identifying all opportunities on new initiativesPerform regular risk assessments, responsible for the execution of mitigation activities to address key risksManage all the relevant program KPI, profitability metrics, invoicing processes, contract payment milestones, cash collection and past due, warranty/penalties determination and administrationExecute phase & gate methodology for NPI programs under responsibility (U212 NFS, T625), driving and supervising cost-out initiatives, focusing on loss making programsSupport the customers in their needs following the contract requirement: industrialization process; technical support; equipment requirementUpdate, review and maintain business plans; provide timely internal reporting in accordance with the defined standards. Continually review processes to ensure overall efficiencyFostering the adoption of the LEAN approach in the management of processes and to maximize the quality of the executionSupport the Commercial Team during all the phases of an offer, starting from the Customer needs through the negotiations, until the hand-over at the Kick-Off meetingSupport the Change Manager/Program Manager during the incorporation of new modifications (CID, SB, AIM, …) in terms of time, costs and Customer needsQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, preferred graduation in Industrial/Mechanical/Aerospace EngineeringSolid experience in management of complex projects in a structured companyAbility to lead across functional and customer / supplier teams, both on-site and remotelyAbility to communicate with all levels of internal and external customer organizations, including top managementProven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organizationConsolidated experience in acting in programs team or equivalent coordination roleDemonstrated financial acumen and risk management expertiseFluent written and spoken Italian and EnglishWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsOrientation to CustomerMilitary licenses management awarenessDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsKnowledge of contract law and export license processesWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
