We are seeking to appoint either a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or trainee ACP to work within the Division of Medicine at Walsall Manor Hospital. The Division consists of Speciality Medicine, Long Term Conditions and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) across the acute medical take.We are seeking a Qualified or trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the team and to support the development of ACPs across the Division with a particular focus on Same Day Emergency Care. The Division is currently recruits as qualified ACPs would be overseeing Trainee ACP’s which the new post holder will be responsible for in the daily and professional management of.Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners will be expected to enrol and complete MSc in Advanced Practice in Acute medicine within a four-year period. Alongside this, the successful candidate will be working under the supervision of qualified ACPs within the Same Day Emergency Care Department, the role will be developed to encompass all areas of Acute Medicine and will be expected to work within the Acute Medical Unit and the short stay Unit. There will be opportunities to gain experience within the wider reaches of Medicine within this trainee position as the training progresses.Candidates already on an MSc pathway would also be expected to complete their training within the given time frame whilst working within the Division of Acute Medicine.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide service seeing, treating and decision making for patient attending the AEC/SDEC service and to train and assist junior members of staff within the departmentAs a trainee you will be allocated time to complete allocated University days around your clinical duties.About usWalsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents.
