Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in Surrey.

The pay for this position is GBP23-GBP28 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Job Description:
Seeing patients with a GP, both in their own home, care homes & in the community as required Assessment & treatment / intervention of adult patients with Neurological conditions& / or acquired communication & swallow difficulties in the community setting.

Candidates will need: Essential:
· The candidate must have good experience working with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis & progressive conditions.
· The candidate must have experience in the management of dysphagia & be dysphagia trained & work autonomously
· The candidate will need experience in rehabilitation and the management of long term conditions.
· Community experience
· Experience working with adults & older adults
· MDT working
· Ability to complete community visits
