Admissions Coordinators’ Assistant

Brighton College is seeking to appoint an Admissions Coordinators’ Assistant
Reporting to: Deputy Headmaster (Admissions)
Main purpose of the role: This is a dynamic and energetic role which plays an important part in a busy and friendly team. The position offers a wide range of support to the Admissions Coordinators, including both administrative and event-focused work.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing the enquiries and registrations of prospective pupils, efficiently processing all applications with an eye for detail to ensure records are current and correct
* Speaking confidently on the phone as a first point of contact with families and agents
* Assisting in the preparation and organisation of events, such as Open Mornings, assessment days, taster days etc
* Assisting in the running of events, such as Open Mornings, assessment days, taster days etc
* Assisting with preparing pupil files ahead of results meetings
* Organising and arranging interviews and assessments for overseas applicants
* Creating online pupil files
* General filing
* Any other reasonable request
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:
* A people person with excellent communication skills
* A team player
* Good attention to detail
* A warm and professional telephone manner
* An enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service
* Good IT literacy with excellent Word and Excel skills
* The ability to work on one’s own initiative and to prioritise a workload
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday inclusive, 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week). In addition to this, the post-holder will be required to work occasional weekends to support College Open Mornings and Events for which time in lieu will be given. This role will be based on-site at the College. Whilst ideally this will be a full-time position, consideration will be given to requests for flexible working hours.
Remuneration:
A salary in the range of *A£24,804 – A£27,804 per annum will be offered to reflect the individual’s experience. *Pro-rata’d if part-time hours are agreed at interview.
Holidays:
23 days, plus bank holidays increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service (of which 3 days need to be taken between Christmas and New Year when the College is closed). Holiday entitlement will be pro-rata’d accordingly to facilitate part-time working hours if agreed.
