Employee Benefits Claims Administrator

 
2 days in the Brighton office, 3 days remote working (5 days Monday to Friday)

You’ll be joining a business that is expanding, cares about the community and the environment. You will get a 9% pension as standard, increasing to 13% company max contribution (plus your 4% = a 17% pension). You can also get up to 31 days holiday, hybrid working, life assurance – employee, income protection, private medical insurance, mortgage advice, gadget cover, life assurance – partner, critical illness, travel insurance and dental cover.

This Administration role is aligned to our Employee Benefits Division within our Operations function of the UK business. We see this Administration role as being the ideal succession role for someone coming from a Complaints, PA or EA background. Other experiences considered. Our Employee Benefits unit is part of a wider business which includes Individual Protection, supported by a 100 strong operations team in Brighton.

The Administration role offers a development path to assessing claims, giving the job holder the opportunity to contribute to the proactive management of claims administered by MetLife, providing reassurance to customers through service excellence and accuracy of work, whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers. Our key stakeholders are all internal parties such as Sales, Compliance, and Customer Service. The key focus is Employee Benefits claims.

  

Key Responsibilities: 

-Telephone Call Handling
-Medical Fee Payments
-Information chases
-New claim review and file preparation
-Handling queries
-Pulling reports
 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

-Confident and decisive when analysing information and determining outcomes.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
-Ability to work efficiently with good attention to detail.
-Confident, calm with a professional telephone manner.
-Ability empathy and be sympathetic as well as resilient.
-Accurate and able to demonstrate a high level of organisation.
-Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
-Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’.
-Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
Preferred:

-A good understanding of compliance, legal and FCA regulations (full MetLife Corporate training will be provided)
-Medical Knowledge
