About Us:

Help us improve the life outcomes of our residents with safe and comfortable homes.

The whole team at The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s Housing department are determined to deliver the highest standards to our local residents. Following Grenfell, it is vital that we remain on top of building regulations, and that we are equipped to improve the lives of residents across the borough. We want to ensure that everyone has access to a high-quality home, and we want our community to know that we’re putting their needs first, and that we’ll always be there for them if things aren’t going according to plan. As such, we place great value on challenging ourselves to do better, and it is within our ambitious Service Improvement & Performance team that you could find a deeply interesting role.

The Role:

We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who will provide an efficient administrative support service to our busy team. Working from Kensington Town Hall and some other central locations as required, you’ll therefore get involved in key projects, helping various Managers and Team Leaders in achieving their objectives. What this will look like on a day-to-day basis could vary hugely, as you will be handling anything from coordinating diaries and organising meetings through to updating information on the website and intranet and proofreading newsletters.

As the first point of contact for enquiries into the department, you’ll manage all general correspondence, and handle emails, phone calls and in-person visits. Whether taking minutes in meetings or updating databases with person and tenancy information, you will ensure every output is highly accurate. Across all that you do, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference for our residents, so if you have great ideas on how we could do things better, then we will always be keen to hear your ideas.

About You:

With a sharp eye for detail, you’ll be adept in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Maintaining discretion in all that you do, you will have the capacity to deal with information with tact and understanding, and you will share our vision of making our borough a safer place to live.

In turn, we can offer you a great career prospect, with a competitive benefits package that includes a desirable contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave and staff discounts. We also hope you will be keen to embrace the numerous learning and development opportunities that we can present you with.
