Job descriptionADHD Teaching assistant – Blackburn – ASAPProspero Teaching are seeking a teaching assistant who has experience supporting young people with ADHD and Autism at a school in Blackburn on a full time basis. The role will start ASAP and will continue until they break for summer in July 2025.The student in question is in key stage 2 and have ADHD. Autism and has an EHCP. The young person you will support is enthusiastic, is keen to do their best but can at times become frustrated and can show challenging behaviour. You will need to be able to build strong relationships quickly and have a passion for supporting and encouraging those with additional needs.The ideal candidate will have:Experience within Special Educational Needs
Experience of supporting students with additional needs, in particular ADHD and ASD
Experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting
Strong teamwork ethic
Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs
reliable, consistent and caring
up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training will be provided)
up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training will be provided)The role will consist of:Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs
Creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn and succeed

POSITION Learning Support Assistant
MINIMUM DAILY RATE £85 per day
HOURS Full time Monday Friday 8.30am -4pm
