Job Title: ACRO Systems Audit Supervisor
Salary Range: £33,915 – £35,982
Work Location: Near Fareham
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday with flexible office hours

The Information Management Team are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Systems Audit Supervisor. ACRO as an organisation is a National Policing Unit, and the role includes leading a team of National System Auditors looking at the Police National Computer (PNC), Criminal History Scotland (CHS) and Northern Ireland’s Causeway (CRV).

National Systems Auditing focuses on 4 key areas: Integrity Monitoring, Search and Admin. Error Auditing, Celebrity/Known to Records reviews and Compliance Auditing. These tasks ensure that ACRO is compliant with National Agreements for system access, Codes of Practice as well as User Manuals, Data Protection legislation, and our own internal operating decisions and staff guidance. The post holder will be fundamental to ensuring that ACRO remain a trusted Data Processor for the UK Police Forces and other stakeholders.
In working across these 4 processes and National Systems, the role holder will also play a key part in communicating Audit requirements to the operational areas of ACRO. The ideal candidate will be able to build lasting professional relationships across all departments, working alongside process re-engineering projects to ensure that legislated Audit requirements are met by new projects.
Flexible working requests will be considered for this vacancy, however ideally the candidate will be able to work a minimum of 37 hours, across 5 days. Working hours can be discussed at interview.

Essential Qualifications
-Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level
Desirable Qualification
-Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) qualification
Essential Experience
-Excellent working knowledge of using IT systems and the use of databases and spreadsheets
-Experience in contributing to business practice and procedures.
-Proven analytical and investigative skills
Desirable Experience
-Extensive audit experience, knowledge of data protection principles and the Force Information Security Policy.
-To have already undertaken and passed the PNC Update Course.
