We are looking for an experienced and motivated analyst to join us as an Intelligence Analyst, within a national policing unit.
More about the role
As an organisation, we utilise a wealth of different datasets. These are available to our small, dynamic analysis team to analyse for the purposes of assisting both ACRO business areas and law enforcement partners. The team produce a variety of products including evidence-based reports containing sound conclusions and recommendations. The types of analysis undertaken include crime and organisational analysis at a strategic level, and recently an exciting new analytical project to understand the resource required across ACRO. Our work also contributes to national cross government work streams that are focused on ensuring the safety of the public.
All of work supports our team objective: To design and deliver analytical products providing clarity, insights and recommendations to influence and impact decisions; both internally and externally in support of the wider ACRO priorities.

Essential Qualifications
Essential: Educated to QCF Level 6 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Desirable: QCF Level 3 in a relevant analytical field
Essential Experience
Essential:
-Experience of working in a law enforcement environment
– Experience of innovative, creative approaches to problem solving and analysis of complex information
– Effective report writing and confident presentation skills, with proven experience in delivering complex issues to all levels of an organisation
-Ability to use own initiative and possessing good time management skills
– Proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel dealing with large datasets
Desirable:
-Experience of problem solving and analysis in a law enforcement and/or intelligence environment
-Previous experience of, or trained in the use of i2, Business Objects, or other analytical software
