Acoustic Consultant – Dublin
A leading multidisciplinary environmental and planning consultancy is seeking an Acoustic Consultant / Acoustic Technician to join its expanding acoustics team in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of one of the most respected consultancies in the industry, working on high-profile and complex projects across Ireland.
This Acoustic Consultant role offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio, including renewable energy, infrastructure, residential development, and environmental impact assessments. The successful Acoustic Consultant will play a key role in delivering technical excellence while developing their expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking environmental noise surveys across a variety of sites, including occasional evening and night-time monitoring
* Liaising with site operators and coordinating survey activities
* Analysing acoustic data and extracting key insights for reporting
* Preparing detailed compliance reports, Noise Management Plans, and contributing to EIAR noise chapters
* Supporting acoustic modelling, noise impact assessments, and design statements (including ProPG)
* Managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery
* Collaborating with internal teams and providing regular project updates
Requirements:
* A relevant third-level qualification in environmental science, engineering, acoustics, or a related field
* A minimum of two years’ experience in environmental noise monitoring and reporting
* Strong understanding of environmental noise guidance and assessment criteria
* Experience using sound level meters and acoustic monitoring equipment
* Knowledge of building acoustics (desirable)
* Excellent report writing and organisational skills
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
