Axens global offer is based on highly trained human resources, modern production facilities and an extended global network for industrial, technical supports & commercial services.Axens combines the friendliness of a company on a human scale and the influence of a multinational environment whose customers are spread over more than 85 countries.Axens is an IFP Group company.Context:The mission of the Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to provide sustainable and efficient technology/process solutions, catalysts/adsorbents, and services to clients in various fields where Axens is involved.This includes oil and biomass hydroprocessing and conversion, petrochemical production and purification, gas and water treatment, and CO2 capture.The T&TS division is responsible for ensuring the performance of Axens’ customer units and maintaining competitiveness in a highly competitive market during the energy transition period.The technologist position combines technical support for sales, partnership for client performance, and R&D management to ensure long-term competitiveness.Within the Low Carbon Solutions & Gas (LCSG) group, the focus is on designing basic or detailed engineering projects for gas treatment, sulfur recovery, gas purification (H2, SynGas, CO2, BioGas), and carbon capture.The Technical Support department provides high-level technical support/expertise to LCSG (Process, Technology, Modules proposals, R&D, Business Development) group entities, internal Axens entities, and subsidiaries, covering all the group’s technologies and products.We are currently,looking for an Expert specializing in Acid Gas technologies (Amine and/or SRU).Missions:Reporting hierarchically to the Technical Support Manager, the Acid Gas Technologies Expert will have the following main missions:· Provide high-level technical support/expertise across different business areas and technologies/products (particularly Amine and SRU technologies):During the proposal stage:Ø Participate in the development of offers for the natural gas market and new markets (H2, SynGas, CO2, BioGas) by proposing agile and tailored solutions to meet evolving client demands.Ø Provide technical support in defending offers to clients.During a project execution:Ø Support the execution of Process tasks with high technical value to address client comments, comments from other disciplines (detailed studies), and supplier comments (technical alignment of supplier offers and recommendations).Ø Provide specific support to Process activities in Detail Engineering and participate in key meetings such as KOM, PFDs review, P&IDs, HAZOP/SIL, 3D model, value engineering, etc.

On units in start-up or in operation:Ø Provide technical assistance to clients or Axens startup teams by answering specific questions and requests.Ø If necessary, carry out short-term missions and visits as part of Technical Assistance contracts or periodic/courtesy visits.Ø Contribute to the collection, synthesis, and exploitation of knowledge related to the technologies implemented on units in operation.· Contribute to the development of new processes and high-value-added R&D activities related to the technologies being followed.· Contribute to the promotion, development, and enhancement of teams’ skills in Amine and SRU technologies, including:Ø Participating in the development of design guidelines and the improvement of procedures, tools, and technical documents.Ø Preparing and delivering internal and external training sessions.Participate in certain Business Development, external growth, and partnership actions aligned with the company’s strategy.Knowledge and Level Required:
  • Expert/Senior Engineer, with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in most fields and disciplines covered by the LCSG Group, including:
  • Expertise in gas sweetening processes (Amine Units) and/or sulfur recovery (Sulfur Recovery Units) and their equipment.
  • Proficiency in project execution, particularly complex projects with diverse scopes (conceptual studies, revamping studies, troubleshooting studies, Process Design Packages (PDP), detailed engineering).
  • Basic knowledge of other engineering disciplines (instrumentation, piping, automation, electricity, etc.) to understand the constraints of other departments and anticipate/gain efficiency.
  • Experience in writing technical-commercial proposals in a highly competitive context is necessary.
  • Experience in on-site missions (inspections, startups, troubleshooting) in Amine and/or SRU technologies is required.
