Accounts Receivable Officer

Worcester

£25,597 per year (pro rata)

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Temporary position for 6 months

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join a team of 4 people in the Housing Benefit Posting Team within the Accounts Receivable department based at our head office in Worcester. The team allocate payments received from Local Authorities, identify any discrepancies between payments and remittances and liaises with internal teams and key stakeholders.

The role of Accounts Receivable Officer will include:

-Locating and allocating payments received from Local Authorities
-Allocate payments from The Department of Work and Pensions
-Identify and querying any discrepancies between remittance values and payments received
-Liaising with other internal departments and local authorities to obtain information regarding payments that are due
-Help work towards teams weekly KPI
-Processing team inbox and assisting wherever required within wider Accounts Receivable team
 

Skills and experiences:

-Recent experience of undertaking a similar finance role
-Some experience of investigating issues and problem solving
-Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
-Cash allocating experience is desirable but not essential
-Good communication and excellent numeracy skills
-Experience using SAP/Coldharbour is desirable
-Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
