Accounts Assistant (12-Month Fixed Term Maternity Contract)

A£30,000 – A£35,000 per year

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at our client on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning financial services firm.

The Role

This is a varied finance role supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business.

Key responsibilities include:
– Processing sales and purchase invoices in Sage
– Bank, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations
– Commission statement processing
– Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
– Supporting payroll processing
– Assisting with VAT returns and monthly reporting
– Maintaining accurate financial records in Sage and Excel

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:
– A-level education (or equivalent)
– Ideally be AAT qualified or Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA
– 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance role
– Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
– Excellent communication skills
