As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities within the country, serving as a key partner to the Sales Lead and the primary contact for the shared service office. You will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities
-Lead all accounting operations, including the preparation of statutory financial statements.
-Manage tax compliance, including VAT filings, corporate income tax, and deferred tax calculations.
-Collaborate with the CEE Tax Manager on country-specific tax matters.
-Oversee store accounting, reconciliations, and payroll cost control.
-Ensure timely payments and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
-Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support to the CEE Business Navigation team.
-Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and oversee external audits.
-Ensure timely reporting through consolidation software (OneStream).
-Manage risk and ensure strong internal controls.
-Develop and mentor the accounting team through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
-Collaborate with internal departments to optimize processes, drive efficiencies, and achieve cost savings.
-Partner with the Sales Lead to provide financial analysis and support for special projects.
-Act as a business partner to other local departments within the headquarters.
-Prepare and submit local reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other authorities.
Reporting

-Prepare and analyze standard company reports.
-Submit local regulatory reports as required.
-Assist with the annual financial statements and external audit process.

What you bring
-Bachelor / Master’s degree in Accounting.
-Proven experience in preparation of Statutory Financial statements.
-Experience leading a team of accountants.
-Deep knowledge of IFRS and local Romanian accounting standards.
-Knowledge of Romanian tax topics, including VAT, CIT, Deferred tax.
-Work experience SAP Ariba and MS office.
-Being able to understand and organize business processes.
-Flexibility in organizing work in a changing environment.
-Effective communication in both English and Romanian.
