A project-focused engineering business, implementing innovative systems across multiple industries is seeking to employ an experienced Accountant to cover all aspects of month end, reporting into a Group Financial Controller. The role responsibilities will be:

– Work with the Group Financial Controller in an entrepreneurial fast-moving environment to support closing and managing projects
– Sales Ledger across the group, ensuring effective credit collections
– Month end closure: accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, balance sheet balances reconciliation
– Responsible for intercompany recharges, monthly reconciliations and foreign exchange updates
– Costs allocation across the Group
– VAT returns and other statutory submissions for UK and overseas subsidiaries
– Support in Year-End closure and Audit

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented QBE Accountant skilled in month end closure, who is keen to play a pivotal role in supporting the business within a small finance team. They encourage an open and flexible working environment that encourages staff to develop and grow professionally.
