The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing multiple product lines in the Thiochemicals business including Hydrazine, Solvents, Amines, Thioglycolics and Sulfonyls. This role is highly focused on Distribution and Channel Partner management. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the selling function, such as managing customer relationships from Purchasing to the Executive level, lead management, price management, negotiating supply agreements, submitting bids, and reporting in Salesforce. The Regional Account Manager is also responsible for forecasting at the volume/price/turnover level on a rolling 3-to-18-month cycle. Additional monthly reporting of the North American results for each product line and market served. The Regional Account Manager will establish high-level relationships with key clients in designated markets and develop industry knowledge and forward-looking actions to maintain a competitive advantage. 50% travel including occasional international trips.

Key Activities
-Responsible for managing all sales activities with customers the respective product lines.
-Responsible for managing sales and for achieving targeted volume, margin, and growth.
-Achieves this through good call planning and preparation, on-site customer visits, communicating pricing, negotiating supply agreements, submitting bids, reporting on activities and lead and opportunities in Salesforce.
-Highly focused in distributor and channel partner management.
-Establishes high-level relationships with key clients in designated markets and develops industry knowledge and forward-looking actions to maintain a competitive advantage.
-Focuses on value-based selling by differentiating product offerings via service, operational excellence, and technically grounded solutions.
-Provides monthly forecasts at an SKU and price level.
-Assists in the regional pricing strategy in conjunction with the global business managers.
-Assists in the budget process for these product lines in coordination with the global business managers.
-Gathers competitive and market intelligence to assist the development of business and marketing strategies.
-Partners with other Arkema BUs to maximize strategic customer relationships and manage critical programs.
-Oversees external communications and promotional activities, and industry conference participation.
-Utilizes the travel budget in an effective manner while maintaining the necessary level of interactions with customers.
Education / Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or business.
-5 years’ experience in the chemical industry in technical, sales or marketing roles.
-Experience in distributor and channel partner management.
-Some knowledge of applications and manufacturing segments where these products can be used (e.g., coatings, agrochemicals, oil and gas, cleaning, electronics, mining, chemical manufacturing, etc.)
-Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strong internal and external relationships.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, SAP, SalesForce and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
