Summary – basic function of the role

We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our team on a permanent basis in a remote capacity. This role focuses on driving growth by developing new customers within a designated region. Success in this position requires exceptional communication and sales abilities to ensure the Sales Entity achieves its growth targets. Collaboration across borders is integral to this role, making proficiency in English essential.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales and margin targets, providing accurate forecasts and contributing to annual budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, key decision-makers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prospect and convert new client opportunities into profitable sales.
  • Prepare, manage, and actively follow up on quotations to secure orders.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Application Engineers, and Specialists to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Drive regional growth by implementing global, regional, and local strategies.
  • Promote products and services through presentations, seminars, and training.
  • Report on sales activities, market trends, competitor actions, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support marketing activities and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape, sharing insights with leadership.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage and track sales activities.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, works and communicates well with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Energetic and proactive initiator; must present a professional and articulate image.
  • Flexible and progressional approach to work.

Education and Experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering/Management or Business Administration and/or equivalent related field experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Technical affinity and understanding or Hydraulic or Mechanical industrial markets experience is required.
  • Extensive proven sales experience and well-developed presentation and commercial negotiation skills are needed.
  • Good working knowledge of Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.); knowledge of a CRM package is beneficial.
