An exciting opportunity has become available as a part-time (approx. 28 hours per week) Account Executive (AE) in the Devolved Government Team looking after our Local Authority Education customers in Scotland and Wales. This important role helps our academic customers meet their business and learning challenges, accelerate strong education outcomes and ultimately improve the services and experiences that they provide to learners and students. We need to help those customers become more productive, to get more from their data with AI, to digitize as many processes as possible, maximising their investment in Microsoft technology in order to free up time for their team to offer fantastic services, care, compassion and learning to the young people and students who need it the most.

The Account Executive plays a pivotal role in supporting our customers through strong partnership, and this is a role that has evolved beyond selling products and services. Responsibilities

  • Effectively engage and run a global, hybrid, diverse team, all supporting the customers vision

  • Communicate and coordinate with a broad range of senior stakeholders within Microsoft and within your Education customers who range from Local Councils to Country-Wide Government Academic service providers

  • Take our Education customers on a journey of digital and AI led change, moving to cloud based services and leveraging the AI innovations and optimization that can bring to education

  • Take ownership for your customer’s experience with Microsoft

  • Challenge traditional thinking and approaches with empathy and think about how we can help our customers do things differently

  • Meet or exceed revenue and consumption goals set by the business

  • Increase Microsoft’s credibility, impact and depth of engagement in both your customers and in the broader Education market

  • Engage and successfully collaborate with our Microsoft Partner Network in building the right solutions for our Education customers, as part of the large, global, Microsoft virtual team

  • Ensure that the customer gets the very best value from their Microsoft investments, looking for every opportunity to address our customers challenges using our software and services

Common attributes we typically look for in this role, can include;

  • Track record of confidently holding executive level relationships and influencing at senior levels within customers

  • Experience of Education and Academic Technology used in the classroom

  • Experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Consulting or Consultative Selling, preferably in Digital Technology, Education or similar areas

  • Public Sector industry knowledge and Education experience either as a customer or as a supplier is desired but not essential

Qualifications

  • Experience influencing academic technology resources used, in the UK education spaces.

  • Experience working with executives such as Directors of Education/Academic Technology leads, in the education sector.
