The WTW Birmingham office is seeking to hire an Account Executive. We place bespoke insurance solutions for our client base which comprises large global & corporate clients. We are an integral part of the end-to-end client servicing function, beginning with leading the discussions with our clients to establish their insurance requirements through to the completion of the insurance product. This occurs through face to face and virtual meetings with the client as well as the insurance market to carry out programme and structure design workshops.

The Role

The WTW Birmingham office is seeking to hire an Account Executive.

We place bespoke insurance solutions for our client base which comprises large global & corporate clients.

We are an integral part of the end-to-end client servicing function, beginning with leading the discussions with our clients to establish their insurance requirements through to the completion of the insurance product. This occurs through face to face and virtual meetings with the client as well as the insurance market to carry out programme and structure design workshops.

The role encompasses working alongside Account Directors and Client Service Executives to deliver the following:

  • Understand the clients’ business and their risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service.

  • Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people.

  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients.

  • Grow existing portfolio by identifying new from existing opportunities.

  • Work alongside (and provide direction as appropriate) to the Natural Resources Account Handlers based in Mumbai.

  • Provide renewal documentation with the support of Account Handlers and Brokers.

  • Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities.

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of products and services offered by WTW to enable identification of cross selling for differing lines of business opportunities.

  • Networking – internally with other Business Units, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, Third Party Specialists, insurers).

  • Check policies, market presentations and client documentation as appropriate.

  • Design programme and pricing structures to best meet the client’s needs based on knowledge of the client, the insurance market and industry sector proposition.

  • Proactively develop appropriate solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum client retention rates.

  • Development of service plans that define the engagement and timing of engagement with the client.

Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)/Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to ensure targets are met.

The Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service.

• Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists.

• Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility

• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

• Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery.

• Preferably educated to A Level or equivalent.

• Looking to study towards or having achieved Diploma CII (DipCII)or ACII.
