An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Westminster Theological Centre (WTC)’s team as the Academic Engagement Coordinator. This is a new role which will be varied, exciting and interesting and will suit someone who is proactive, attentive to detail, creative and solution-focused as well as keen to promote WTC’s academic profile through events, quality social media output and supporting the senior team. The Academic Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Events and Partnerships, putting together a 5-year events programme to showcase what WTC offers that is unique and transformational. They will ensure that events run smoothly and effectively to raise WTC’s profile, facilitate student recruitment, and support the range of academic events which WTC provides for the college’s student body and wider stakeholder base. The Academic Engagement Coordinator will also contribute to enhancing WTC’s social media with a focus on theological content as well as creative media posts on forthcoming events and news updates. They will also provide executive support to the members of the Senior Executive Team.

Reporting to the Director of Events and Partnerships, the successful candidate will be organised, proactive and detail focused, with the ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong IT skills are important, as is a ‘can do’ attitude. WTC staff team is small and hard working, with a strong and positive team culture. We all adhere to the college’s mission and values.

We deliver transformational theological education within prophetic, worshipping and learning communities throughout the UK, in partnership with local churches. The successful applicant will need to be in full agreement with WTC’s values and mission. As such it is a genuine occupational requirement for the Academic Engagement Coordinator to be a practising Christian.

Commitment and Pay scale:

This is a full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week). The position attracts a salary of £28,000 – £30,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications, as well as access to a pension scheme. Annual holiday allowance is 25 days per calendar year plus bank holidays. 

The Academic Engagement Coordinator will be based at WTC’s offices in Cheltenham with travel to the two annual Residentials and other events around the UK. There will be some flexibility for home working.
