Job Description

Reporting to the GM, AA – Gulf Cooperation Council, role will be responsible for:

Strategically plan, organize and lead the Allergan Aesthetic marketing team across Gulf to meet or exceed the defined sales, profit and market share goals and growth objectives through effective, high quality marketing and promotional plan execution. Enable the organization to take effective decision based on insights gathered from data, market research and market intelligence to capitalize on the most sizeable opportunities.

Responsible for leading, managing, coaching and developing a competent and committed Aesthetic marketing team. Actively pursues the development and growth of the marketing team.

Leading the consumer strategy and the DTC marketing across Gulf including building tacics for online and offline consumer activation initiatives not limited to social media initiatives and reach.

Monitor and evaluate the ROI of marketing initiatives to ensure optimal allocation of investments.

Owns & manages the marketing team budgets and expense targets.

Directly leading the Coolsculpting marketing initiatives and tactial plans across Gulf.

As a key member of the AA Gulf leadership team the marketing lead plays a critical role in strategizing regarding the direction of the AA business operation, bring innovation, engaging employees, achieving financial goals and maintaining the highest standard of compliance.

The Team That Makes it Happen:

4 direct reports (1 Brand Manager Juvéderm, 1 Brand Manager Botox, 1 Consumer Manager, & 1 CW Marketing Coordinator)

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy:

  • Gather deep market, customer, consumer & competitor insights to inform strategic and tactical plan development and maintain Allergan’s Aesthetics leadership position.

  • Drive the development of the long and short-term marketing strategies and tactics to ensure that all product opportunities are optimized for the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio.

  • Ensure these strategies and tactics are embodied in strategic and marketing plans as appropriate.

  • Ensure the consumer strategy is included in all brands and countries where DTC is permissible as per the local regulations

  • Ensure strategies and tactics are implemented in a manner so as to maximize the return to Allergan Aesthetics and maximize market share objectives.

  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders in the development, ownership, and delivery of the agreed marketing priorities.

  • Support the AMI lead in development of KOL advocacy for Allergan Aesthetics brands.

Planning and Performance Tracking

  • Prepare the annual strategic plan for all the Allergan Aesthetics brands

  • Prepare and manage the annual financial budget (promo expenses) for Allergan’s Aesthetics portfolio

  • Prepare the annual marketing plan and strategy in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders such as Gulf cross functional team, Area and ISM.

  • Establish & embed brand performance KPIs to ensure brand performance is tracked regularly. Provide updated forecasts in line with Allergan Aesthetics financial planning process.

  • Utilize data & insights to inform ongoing, high-level, decision making.

  • Work on improving data and insights for market share, patient share, customer and consumer perception and consumer insights.

  • Work closely with Demand Planning for forecasting to ensure ongoing continuity of supply.

  • Ensure brand budgets, forecasts, expenses are evaluated for cost effectiveness and results.

  • Monitor and evaluate the ROI of marketing initiatives to ensure optimal allocation of investments.

  • Ownership of the Marketing expense budgets including managing the teams’ expenses within the agreed budget and contribute toward the setting of future budgets.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Provide effective leadership & direction to a team of marketers to unite, develop and motivate team members to become high performing and help each team member realize their full potential.

  • Create a positive team environment through the demonstration of strong leadership behaviors, including communicating expectations clearly, instilling an atmosphere of trust and respect, and leading by example.

  • Use a mix of coaching and development tools to help each team member realize their full potential. Performing all related people management activities, including recruiting new team members, conducting performance reviews, coaching for improved performance, reward and recognition, etc.

  • Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

Maintain and develop KOLs

  • Identify and develop key national leaders to ensure they fully support Allergan Aesthetics products and company image.

  • Establish and organize advisory boards to ensure input to local promotional strategies and programs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in medical or pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Business Studies

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business Studies would be an advantage

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience on Healthcare industry preferable in Multinational Pharma companies and/or medical devices.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Gulf region or Middle Eastern environment

  • Proven managerial skills including proven record of Talent management and people management

  • Experience in training /coaching

  • Experience in compliance programs

  • Experience in managing budgets and sales forecasting
