Nokia ensures that its products comply with established international standards and regulations on EMF exposure as well as any specific requirements that may be applicable in the countries where Nokia products are operational.Nokia EMF mitigation team is managing and implementing RF EMF product compliance requirements. We are managing the portfolio of base station RF emission monitoring and control features throughout their life cycle, including design, development, validation, maintenance and their evolutions towards future systems (6G) leveraging relations with Bell Labs. We are engaging with customers, regulators and partners about RF EMF exposure from Nokia products. We are contributing to the evolution of international standards specifying RF EMF assessment methods.ResponsibilitiesYou have a deep understanding about the implementation of RF EMF exposure assessment methods for 5G NR base stations. You are interested in managing the evolution path towards 6G, new frequency bands, extreme massive MIMO…As a Senior System Architect for EMF Mitigation, you will be responsible to:

• Manage the RF EMF exposure measurement tools and procedures to be implemented for current products and features, and their future evolutions (6G)
• Drive RF EMF exposure measurement campaigns performed for internal continuous testing
• Interface with the feature management process, including verification test strategy and quality system
• Supervise RF EMF exposure measurement campaigns conducted with 3rd parties (operators, regulators, test laboratories…), from their design phase till the interpretation of results and final documentation
• Develop and maintain the documentation database related to RF EMF exposure measurement campaigns (test protocols, test reports…)
• Propose product and feature innovations to improve performances of 5G NR networks and future evolutions to 6G
• Contribute to the harmonization of EMF exposure test protocols leveraging contributions to international standards (IEC, CENELEC, ITU…) and publication of technical papers (white papers, research papers…)

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in RF EMF exposure guidelines (ICNIRP, IEEE) and RF EMF exposure assessment methods (IEC TC106, CENELEC TC106X, ITU-T SG5 Q3, IEEE TC95) understanding, implementation and automation.
• PhD and a minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing RF EMF exposure assessment methods.
• Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of 5G NR system, mobile network antennas and network planning
• Excellent analytical mindset able to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concrete requirements.
• Hands-on problem solving and building consensus.
• Organizational capabilities and a commitment to high quality.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Very good interpersonal and teamwork skills for operating in an international multi-site environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
