Lavorerà all’interno dell’Animal Resource Center di Siena, dove si svolgono attività sia di ricerca traslazionale che di controllo qualità per il rilascio di vaccini.

Il ruolo è fondamentale per assicurare il benessere degli animali e il loro corretto utilizzo nell’ambito della ricerca scientifica così da garantire non solo gli aspetti etici ma anche quelli scientifici che sono alla base di una corretta e solida scienza.

Nel ruolo sarà chiamato alla gestione dei servizi veterinari che comprendono una collaborazione stretta con i teams operativi di animal care e di animal experiments.

Fornirà indicazioni e guida nella gestione del benessere animale, dei protocolli sperimentali e delle attività day by day in stabulario. Responsabile della definizione dei protocolli anestesiologici e della corretta somministrazione e gestione dei farmaci.

Collaborerà col centro ricerche per la definizione dei progetti sperimentali e dell’esecuzione delle attività secondo quanto definito e approvato negli stessi.

Garantisce la compliance delle attività sia come aderenza al D. Legislativo 26/14 e leggi correlate, sia alle cGMP seguendo le ispezioni a cui è sottoposto il sito.

Risponde all’Head of ARC.

La risorsa sarà inoltre responsabile di:

• Valutare gli esperimenti in vivo identificando e sviluppando modelli animali alternativi secondo il concetto delle 3R, coordina e/o supporta i progetti di implementazione dei metodi alternativi
• Svolgere le attività di assistenza veterinaria agli animali ospitati presso gli stabulari di GSK Vaccines incluso il servizio di reperibilità al fine di garantire il servizio h24, 7 giorni su 7;
• Definire e mantenere in efficienza le procedure che definiscono le linee di intervento del servizio veterinario di GSK Vaccines;
• Assicurare l’espletamento delle attività previste dal DL.gs 26/2014 come Veterinario Designato nella revisione dei progetti di ricerca, dei protocolli e delle procedure operative collaborando e collegandosi al network GSK ed esterno all’azienda.
• Assicurare la corretta gestione del farmaco ad uso veterinario nella facility di GSK Vaccines;
• Coordinare operativamente e contribuire alle attività dell’Organismo preposto al Benessere Animale (AWB) di GSK Vaccines, con particolare riferimento all’implementazione del concetto delle 3Rs (Refinement, Reduction, Replacement);
• Supportare la formazione del personale per tutti gli aspetti legati alla corretta esecuzione delle procedure in vivo e nella valutazione del benessere animale;
• Assicurare il rispetto delle misure di sicurezza nella propria area di competenza, mettendo a disposizione i DPI stabiliti, nonché rendere edotti i collaboratori dei rischi cui sono soggetti e delle corrette procedure di lavoro;

Requisiti essenziali: 

Siamo alla ricerca di professionisti con le seguenti competenze: 

• Laurea in Medicina Veterinaria.
• Diploma di specializzazione o corso di perfezionamento in Scienza e Medicina degli animali da laboratorio
• Iscrizione all’albo dei medici veterinari
• Almeno 5 anni di esperienza nel settore degli animali da laboratorio
• Conoscenza dell’inglese parlato e scritto
• Capacità di gestione del personale e interazione con i team di progetto
