Why this job matters

As our 3rd Line IT Cloud & Infrastructure engineer, you’ll be providing support and delivery of infrastructure in Business Managed Services (BMS). You’ll work with Automation, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) technologies, executing the vision of key technologies within the infrastructure landscape.

You will be an innovative, engaging and driven individual who has a proven record of achievement and experience in collaborating across teams of highly skilled technical experts.

What you’ll be doing

• 3rd line support to underpin the shared services support model

• Deliver successful technical resolutions to complex customer issues escalated by 2nd line support teams within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)

• Implement solutions in a timely manner to ensure service level agreements are met

• Engaging and escalating complex issues with 3rd party vendors for advanced troubleshooting and problem management

• Planning of complex change with first time successful delivery to ensure sustained service across wide ranges of products and solutions

What we would like to see on your CV

• Proven experience of technically supporting live operations in a managed services environment

• Detailed understanding of emerging technologies across the managed services portfolio

• Intermediate / advanced certification or equivalent experience in at least 3 of the following: AZ 104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator), AWS Cloud practitioner, MCSE, Windows Server Operating System Management (W2008R2-Win2022) including Active Directory, Certificate Services, DHCP Server, DNS Server or VMware (VCP)

• You’ve previously worked in an environment that adheres to ITIL best practices

• The successful candidate must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
