We are looking for a distinguished Professor in Neuroscience to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in neuroglial interactions, astrocyte biology, and translational neurology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a record of innovative research. The candidate must demonstrate leadership through experience managing interdisciplinary research programs and leading international teams. Key responsibilities include advancing research in astrocytic modulation of synaptic plasticity, neural circuits, and brain-vascular interactions. A strong track record of high-impact publications and editorial board experience is essential. The role involves securing national and international research funding and collaboration. Ideal candidates will have experience with optogenetics, calcium imaging, and cutting-edge neurotechnologies. Required qualifications
To be qualified for a professor position, you will be assessed according to these six overall criteria for recognising merit at the University of Copenhagen: Research, teaching, societal impact, organisational contribution, external funding, and leadership.
