Key Responsibilities
As a Complex carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to service users. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
Delivering 2:1, 24/7 care for a client with severe traumatic brain injury Providing full support with personal care, feeding, continence, and mobility Managing PEG feeding (daytime and overnight) and administering medication via PEG Supporting with pureed meal preparation and feeding Repositioning regularly to reduce risk of skin breakdown and maintaining skin integrity Using specialist equipment safely, including for transfers requiring two carers Assisting with hydrotherapy sessions and community outings Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods (closed questions, observing responses) Monitoring and managing anxiety-related behaviours, including risk of self-harm Maintaining accurate digital care records and updating care plans Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (MDT) and family members Key Job Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Experience in complex care, including acquired brain injury and neurological conditions Ability to deliver therapy-led care (e.g. positioning, stretching, rehabilitation support Manual UK DRIVERS LICENSE Confident working in 2:1 care packages and 24 hour care environments Strong communication skills, including supporting non-verbal individuals Competent in PEG feeding, continence care, and moving & handling Ability to maintain accurate documentation using digital care systems Reliable, flexible, and able to work day and night shifts Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding Desirable Skills
