SEND Tutor – Stockton-on-Tees

Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support learners in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or require additional support with their learning.

The Role

As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored tuition either in the learner’s home or in a suitable public/community setting , depending on the learner’s needs.
You will:
Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition. Adapt lessons to meet individual SEND needs. Support learners to re-engage with education and build confidence. Help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally. Build positive and trusting relationships with learners and their families. Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback. Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a tutor who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND . Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant educational background. Can adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs. Is patient, nurturing, reliable and resilient. Has excellent communication skills. Is passionate about helping learners reach their potential.

Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety, behavioural needs or other additional educational needs would be beneficial.
