We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a great school in Formby starting as soon as possible. 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location – Formby, L37 Type of work – Long Term Start date – April 2026 Contract type – Long-term Temporary Full time/part time – Full time Pay: Paid to scale Hours: – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum. Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student’s individual needs. Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence. Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers. Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable Able to work collaboratively with staff A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.
To be eligible:
Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application. Provide two professional references/cover the last 2 years
