Job description1:1 Teaching Assistant – BournemouthProspero Teaching are seeking an experienced SEN TA to work on a 1:1 basis with a male student in KS2 who displays challenging behaviour with additional needs. The child shows particular barriers to learning and is disengaged with the curriculum and so this particular role would require a empathetic person with a resiliant and patient character.The school is based in the Bournemouth area and is well located for public transport and offers parking on site.The role is working in SEN Support and will consist of:

• Providing tailored support and working with children with SEMH and SEN (special education needs)
• Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
• Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the teacher

The Ideal Candidate:

• Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR
• Experience of working with children in a youth setting

Position Details:

• Location – Bournemouth, Dorset
• Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract Type – Temporary (with possible permanent opportunities)
• Minimum Daily Rate – £70
• Hours – 8.30-15.30pm (Term Time only) Monday – Friday
• Start Date – ASAP
