Job descriptionIn response to its continuous growth, IÉSEG School of Management is looking for a full-time professor in Sustainability Reporting t at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (Lille or Paris Campus, starting September 2025). He/She/They will be a part of the Accounting Department.ABOUT IÉSEG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

ABOUT THE ACCOUNTING GROUP
The department consists of 25+ members in the areas of Financial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Management Control on both campuses. Faculty members working in Sustainability Reporting and ESG Accounting work and publish in the areas of sustainability assurance and control packages; governance and financial reporting ethics; board characteristics and ESG Reporting; non-financial reporting in private firms; sustainable governance; triple-action management accounting and control systems.The school provides ample resources to support research and has a comparative advantage in promoting cross-disciplinary research that is quintessential for the modern business world. The school is supportive for conducting an innovative research agenda that is relevant for both theoretical substance as well as practical business insights. In addition, the school also subscribes to several public data providers such as WRDS (including access to Sustainalytics and MSCI ESG & Climate), Thomson Reuters Eikon, DataStream and Bloomberg among others. IESEG has built an excellent network with overseas institutions for collaborative work and exchanges.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe position includes both a research and teaching mission. The balance between both will be adjusted to the selected candidate’s profile.
Research will be a strong focus of the selected candidate as he/she/they will contribute to the vibrant research community at IESEG. He/she/they is therefore expected to hold a PhD and have a strong publication record (or potential for Assistant Professors) in top-tier refereed journals. Moreover, the candidate is building a bridge to the corporate world by helping businesses to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their strategies, which can enhance resilience, foster innovation, and improve stakeholder trust, ultimately leading to sustained financial performance and long-term success.In terms of teaching, the selected candidate will teach courses in Sustainability Reporting and ESG Accounting at all levels. In addition, he/she/they will contribute to the development of the Department’s programs. As such, we are looking for candidates with strong pedagogical skills, and who are fluent in English, as most courses are taught in this language.
