Offer DescriptionOne postdoctoral position is available in the framework of the ERC-Starting Grant SENSE, Grant Agreement nº 851179. The research, supported by the European Research Council, will be carried out at the CICA research center, in A Coruña (Spain), and involves the design of peptide-based building blocks to obtain stimuli-responsive self-assembled nanostructures for their application in different biological scenarios.The researcher will work on the preparation and full characterization of stimuli-responsive nanostructures.Conditions:The position is for 1 year starting in January-February 2025.The work will be carried out under the supervision of Dr. Elena Pazos ( ) at CICA ( ).CICA at the Universidade da Coruña (UDC), is a research center that aims to promote the advancement and excellence of basic and applied R&D in the chemical, biological and biomedical sciences, optimizing the scientific resources of the institution, enhancing the university’s research capacity, and promoting the transfer of results to society.Where to apply E-maili.alvarez@udc.esRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsRequired qualifications and experience:A PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related area is required. Experience in the fields of synthetic and supramolecular chemistry, nanomaterials, and microscopy is highly desirable.

The candidates are expected to have interest in multidisciplinary work and motivation to learn from a diversity of scientific areas.
