1:1 TA in Early Years

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) with a Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification to provide 1:1 support in an Early Years setting at a welcoming primary school in Huyton. This role is a great opportunity to make a real impact on a child’s learning and development while advancing your career in education. It is to start asap and will be until at least Easter 2026, likely to continue for the full academic year, depending on funding. You will need to have recent early years experience as well as knowledge in supporting children with SEN.

Your Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Early Years, you will:

* Provide individual support to a child, ensuring they can engage and thrive in the learning environment.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, structured activities.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that supports the child’s development.
* Work closely with the SENDCO, teachers, and parents to track progress and implement tailored strategies.
* Promote positive social and emotional development through interaction and encouragement.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate who:

* Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
* Has experience working in a UK primary school setting (UK experience is essential).
* Understands early childhood development and SEN support strategies.
* Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
