SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support)

Are you an experienced Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism (ASD) on a 1:1 basis?

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work with autistic children in a fantastic school located in the Bournemouth area.

We work in partnership with schools across the Bournemouth area who require compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs on a one-to-one basis.

Experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates looking to develop their career within SEND education, are always welcome .

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location – Bournemouth Position – SEND Teaching Assistant Start date – ASAP Duration / Likely Duration -Ongoing End date (if applicable) – N/A Contract type – Long term Full time/part time – Full time Minimum rate of pay – 140 per day Hours – 8:00am – 4:00pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD and complex learning needs Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional, child-related references
